Stress buster - Indian Tea

1 1/2 cup Water

1 cup Milk

3 tsp (or as desired) Sugar

1 tsp Tea powder

1/2 tsp Fennel seeds (Sauf)

1/2 inch piece Ginger

1/2 tsp Chai masala

1 Lemon grass leaf


  • Pour water in a vessel, add sugar, tea powder, lightly crushed fennel seeds, grated ginger, chai masala and let it boil on medium heat till the water color turns dark brown or almost black. You will smell the aroma of spices.

  • Add milk and let it boil. When tea boils till the brim, reduce the flame and continue to boil it for a few more minutes. Couple of boils and the tea is ready.

  • Strain and serve hot for breakfast or enjoy it any time you want.

Suggestions: You can skip fennel seeds or ginger.
