Paneer Bhurji

200 gms Paneer

1 medium Onion

1 medium Tomato

1 tsp Cumin seeds

1 to 2 Green chilies

1/2 inch Ginger

1/2 tsp Red chili powder

1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

A pinch Garam masala

1/2 Lemon juice

1 tbsp Oil

Handful of chopped fresh coriander

Salt to taste


  • Chop onions, tomatoes, chili and ginger. Crush/ grate paneer.

  • Take oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, once they splutter, add chopped ginger, green chili and saute for 30 seconds

  • Now add chopped onions and saute till translucent

  • Add tomatoes, red chili, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Mix well and let it cook till tomatoes are well done

  • Add crushed/ grated paneer, lemon juice and mix well on low flame. Cook it for couple of minutes

  • Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve with pav, bread or chapati
