Mooli ki Sabzi

Ingredients:


3 Mooli with leaves (ideally more leaves)

1 1/2 cup Fresh grated coconut

3 to 4 Red chilies

1 tbsp Oil

1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

2 tbsp Split Bengal Gram

1/2 tsp Asafoetida

Water

Salt to taste


Method:

  1. Boil water and soak split bengal gram for about 30 min

  2. Chop radish along with leaves and wash well

  3. Heat oil in a wok, add asafoetida and red chillies broken into two

  4. Add bengal gram, radish and leaves, turmeric powder, salt to taste and 3 cups of water

  5. Close the wok and let it cook for 15 to 20 min on medium heat

  6. Incase water gets reduced, add little more water as split bengal gram may take a little longer to cook

  7. Once gram is cooked, reduce water completely and add freshly grated coconut and mix well. Adjust salt if need be

  8. Serve hot with roti
