Aloo bhindi/ Lady finger

1/2 kg Lady fingers

2 medium size Potatoes

1 tbsp Garlic paste

1 tsp Cumin seeds/ Jeera

1 1/2 to 2 tbsp Oil

2 1/2 tsp Chili powder

1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

1 tsp Coriander powder

2 tsp Gram flour

Salt to taste

Handful Freshly chopped coriander


  • Cut Bhindi/Lady finger and Potatoes in desired shape. Chop Fresh coriander.

  • Heat Oil in the pan. Once heated add Jeera/Cumin seeds, Garlic paste and Gram flour and stir immediately to avoid lumps.

  • Once you get roasted flour fragrance, add potatoes and Bhindi/Lady Finger, chilli powder, turmeric Powder, and salt. Mix it well and let it cook on a slow medium flame. Occasionally stir it to make sure it is not sticking to the pan. You can close the pan while it is cooking or you can even choose to leave it open.

  • When almost done, add coriander powder and mix one last time

  • Turn off the heat. Sprinkle chopped fresh coriander and serve hot with chapati
